Fill-A-Bowl for Randolph County

With 3,550 individuals, including 1,330 children, living in food insecurity in Randolph County, Second Harvest relies on community support to provide for our neighbors in need. Join us for a free lunch to learn more about Second Harvest Food Bank and the work that we are doing in Randolph County to provide Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow for children and families in need.

2017 ACC Fall Golf Classic presented by Texas Roadhouse

Proceeds from this event benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and thousands of families in need in East Central Indiana. Every $1 donated provides four meals.

HOW IT WORKS:

This annual event is an 18-Hole Pro-Am/Scramble. Each golf pro plays their own ball. The team may use either their pro’s drive OR their pro’s score on each hole (pros are selected by random drawing for teams who do not bring a pro).

10am – Registration
11am – Lunch, provided by Texas Roadhouse
12am – Shotgun start

2nd- $1,500
3rd- $ 1,000

Amateurs:
1st- $250/player
2nd- $150/player

Second Harvest Food Bank provides emergency food to more than 20,000 people per year in this county. We collect millions of dollars worth of food a year and distribute it to families and individuals in need through child and senior programs, food pantries, emergency shelters, and soup kitchens. Proceeds of the Fill-a-Bowl will provide hunger relief for Delaware County by supporting the continued work of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. Together we can provide help for today and hope for tomorrow by addressing the causes of hunger in the community.

Lasagna Fundraiser

lasagna2Join us for a take-out lasagna fundraiser on October 28th at First Presbyterian Church in Muncie! Tickets should be purchased in advance by contacting Kellie at karrowood@curehunger.org or 765.287.8698 ext 119.

A $10 ticket includes an order of homemade vegetarian or meat lasagna, salad, breadstick and a cookie.

Season of Giving Gift Fair

Join Second Harvest as we participate in the Leadership Academy of Madison County’s Season of Giving Gift Fair. The Gift Fair offers people to opportunity to make a donation to a local charitable organization in lieu of a physical gift during the holidays. Stop in at the Mounds Mall in Anderson to see what the event is all about, visit with Second Harvest staff and meet folks from other organizations around the county who serve our communities. Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

Help our celebrity servers as we turn “tips” into meals on December 2 from 11:00 a.m to 2:00p.m. at Texas Roadhouse in Anderson. Second Harvest is joining with the Anderson Texas Roadhouse to raise money for those in need.

We are currently looking to secure “celebrity servers” to help our case during the fundraiser. If you’re interested in participating in this event and consider yourself a local celebrity, contact Alexandra Hammel at ahammel@curehunger.org to learn more about how you can help!

Additionally, we need you to mark your calendars to come in for lunch on December 2. The more lunchgoers we have, the more tips are made to support the cause.
